Outreach Programs

As we continue to make new acquaintances in the CT area, one of the focuses for The Brain Institute of America is in understanding the socio-economic factors that control federal and state legislative policies that ultimately shape our countries overall mental health system. Close to a third of our nation’s population is diagnosed with a “mental disorder or disease” of one form or another. Unfortunately being labeled with a  disorder carries with it a stigma that creates unnecessary and an often burdensome challenge for those individuals or the caretakers of that individual.
.
Through community outreach and survey initiatives, the Institute is reshaping our nation’s stance on mental health by enlightening others regarding what a mental disorder is, and to make those in the community more empathetic to those with a mental disorder.
.
Part of this effort is by engaging with local schools to implement teaching modules that raise awareness of this issues. In other instances the Institute offers lectures, webinars, and podcasts on the topic.
.
If you are interested, please contact us. Each opportunity is custom tailored to applicant.
