Approximately 1.5 to 2 million individuals suffer a traumatic brain injury (TBI) each year in the United States. While most will experience a mild head injury, approximately 200,000 individuals will be hospitalized with moderate to severe TBI. During the recovery process, it is important for the injury survivor to undergo a multitude of therapies to improve their cognitive function. The Institute decided to create video and media content that supports visual stimulation in a stress reduced environment to promote cognitive function during the recovery process.
